But, when he and his husband began to plan the next chapter in their lives, Scott knew he wanted to build something with a more positive, tangible impact on people’s lives. The answer came from an unexpected place: his own family’s story. Like many, Scott watched his grandparents navigate the challenges of aging — each facing their own ailments, each seeking to balance the right approach to care with their desire to remain independent. That journey was entangled with the stress, uncertainty, and logistical weight placed on his family as they, too, struggled to ensure those they loved most were given the care they needed. Witnessing the difference that trusted, compassionate home care made when added to the equation was extraordinary. His grandparents’ improved quality of life — and the relief his family felt knowing they were safe, well cared for, and treated with dignity — never left him.
