Zahra brings over 15 years of executive, research and clinical health-care experience to One You Love Home care. Zahra is a physical therapist who holds a doctoral degree in human movement science and has completed postdoctoral training in rehabilitation sciences through the prestigious Baylor College of Medicine. Zahra understands the impact that independent living and compassionate and skilled care can have on a person’s quality of life. Zahra’s understanding and compassion for helping other individuals as well as her attention to details and understanding the significance of independent living are in line with values of One you Love home care. In addition to leading the One You Love Home Care Houston branch, Zahra continues to serve as a reviewer for academic journals in order to stay up to date with the latest evidence-based practice.
Zahra started her journey in healthcare as a physical therapist and has fulfilled various roles including research, clinical as well as leadership at prominent hospitals in Houston including TIRR Memorial Hermann and Harris Health System. As a physical therapist, Zahra has had a direct role in training caregivers and educating patients for a safe transition from hospital to home as well as ensuring that patients reach their full potential and are as independent as possible. As a researcher and leader, Zahra has played a role in clinical operations and research as well as quality improvement initiatives related to adult care including those with Parkinson’s disease, Stroke, M.S. Dementia and various other impairments. Additionally, Zahra has had experience and success in designing scientific research protocols, data analysis, and data interpretation. Therefore, Zahra brings a unique holistic evidence-based approach to client care.
