Colleen brings a heartfelt commitment to compassionate care and a deep understanding of the unique needs of seniors and individuals with disabilities and complex homecare needs. With over 5 years of experience in the homecare industry, Colleen’s dedication is to ensure that every client receives not only professional and reliable care, but also the dignity, respect, and comfort they deserve in the place they call home. Having spent over 30 years in professional offices in an administrative capacity, Colleen brings an elevated level of organization and initiative balanced with meticulous attention to detail, a listening ear, and a friendly smile.
Colleen’s passion for the elderly began with her first job working in the kitchen at age 16 at a large skilled nursing care center for patients with Multiple Sclerosis. From raising her own family, two daughters and one son, all living full lives and given Colleen six loving grandchildren, to working in churches and with a missionary organization, Colleen’s passion is truly in loving people of all ages compassionately. Her journey into homecare began with a personal experience—caring for her parents and witnessing firsthand the challenges families face in finding quality in-home support. This deep personal connection became the driving force behind her and husband, Mike, becoming owners of One You Love Homecare Denver, a homecare agency built on trust, empathy, and excellence.
When Colleen is not managing the agency, she is actively involved in spending time with her family, in community outreach, and education to stay current on what is happening in the industry of senior homecare. She continues to volunteer at the assisted living facility where she spent the last three years with her parents giving back to them just a small part of the love they gave to her. Every day, Colleen and Mike remain inspired by the agency’s mission: to enable our clients to remain independent — and even thrive — at home while maintaining their dignity, good health, mental awareness, and a positive mindset, improving the quality of life for them and their family members. We are not just caregivers. We are like family!
